Many of us now have a desire to get rich by gambling on the stock markets. Society has fallen in love with gambling! This addiction is further fueled by online gambling. People are no longer content to have their dollars riding purely on the stock market, but during off hours enjoy gambling online on everything from horse races to poker tournaments to live basketball and hockey games. Society has now accepted gambling as the norm and individuals who would normally be productive members of society seem to instead turn to gambling to earn a living.

There are many dangers to this, not the least of which is the possibility that markets could correct and go in a downward spiral. With a normal nine-to-five job an individual is guaranteed stable income. With online gambling or daytrading activities there is no guaranteed income and in fact each day could end in a big loss. There are ways of controlling the loss through means such as controlling bet size or having a global limit on how much one is willing to lose before stopping play for the day.

The best advice for those who seek to gamble on the markets is to be diligent in research. Knowledge and information about firstly the markets and secondly the particulars of a company will help to give an advantage or edge when it comes to winning on the markets. Never forget that if the balance of probalities can be tipped in your favor such that your chances of winning are greater than 50% then you're likely over the course of many plays to come out ahead.
