Montreal Canadiens vs Philadelphia Flyers

The Eastern Conference of the NHL started off very poorly for the Montreal Canadiens. This undergod team which has surprised many by making it to the Eastern Conference finals disappointed fans. In fact, the game play sorely disappointed their most die hard fans.

The Canadiens have been performing admirably as they defeated the Washington Capitals and the Stanley-cup champion team the Pittsburgh Penguins. Even when they lost to these two teams, the Canadiens were giving their all to the game. Not so this weekend with the Eastern Conference finals. The Canadiens seemed to have lost spirit as they faced a humiliating defeat of 6-0.

The Canadiens seemed outclassed as the Flyers seemed to outskate them and most of the action took place in front of the Canadiens' net. The Canadiens will have to do a lot better as they face off against the Flyers again Tuesday at 7pm Eastern time in the Wachovia Center. The Flyers will once again have home ice advantage over the Canadiens, though at this point it doesn't look like they'll need any advantages.
